Cindy Dunn joins Orbitel management team

Orbitel Communications is pleased to announce that longtime community and business leader Cindy Dunn has joined its management team. Dunn, with over 15 years sales, marketing, and event planning experience will assist Maricopa’s leading communications company in its strategic marketing, television advertising sales, and community relations efforts.

“Having the right person in the right position is key to moving any company forward,” said Orbitel CEO Keith Kirkman. “Cindy has strong ties to the community and unique insight into our local market. We look forward to her bringing her expertise and leadership to our team.”

Dunn is introducing Orbitel’s latest technological advancement – the ability to place local television advertising commercials on 24 stations. Local businesses will now have the opportunity to get their marketing messages out through this exciting medium at a price that is truly affordable.

From the beginning, Orbitel has placed a high priority on serving the community by sponsoring local events through the City of Maricopa and local non-profit organizations. It is within that scope that Dunn will re-launch Maricopa’s local television station, Maricopa Six, later this spring.

Dunn is well connected with business owners, clergy, and community leaders since she has served on the Committee to Incorporate Maricopa, brought together all of these leaders to assist more than 15 families relocate to Maricopa after the Katrina Hurricane, publishes The Maricopa Community Directory, and has served on the bond election committee for Central Arizona College.

Dunn will once again assist local leaders as she organizes Maricopa Six, giving nonprofit organizations the opportunity to be seen and heard. The station will begin by offering local announcements and calendar items. In the future, the station will be able to air local programming as it is provided by the community.

“This station has unlimited potential. We have made a commitment to Maricopa and if it is within our ability to provide better communication through a local station -- even if it costs us money -- then that’s exactly what we intend to do,” Kirkman said. “If our technology can help strengthen the community, then we all win.”
